Transform Your Mind: Transform Your Body

Transform Your Mind: Transform Your Body

I recently attended a 3-day Dr Joe Dispenza retreat and his teachings and research deeply resonated with me. Personally and professionally.

I won’t bore you with the numerous personal insights I gained. But I will share how his teachings (and those of many before him) can affect you – positively.

I have worked with gut sufferers for over 15 years. As such, I have witnessed many incredible transformations in some clients.  Those who really ‘got’ the concepts I was teaching them. Concepts that are now being researched and scientifically explained by the likes of Dr Dispenza.

The Biggest Take Away

The biggest take away on that retreat is that when you put your mind into ‘healing’ mode, change your attitude and beliefs around food, around health, disease, and your body, deep changes can and will happen.

I have seen people who were depriving themselves of so many simple pleasures in their lives (food, fun, going out, having intimate relations , playing with their kids, etc) – for fear of pain, food reactions, bloating etc – that they didn’t realise they were denying their bodies the ability to digest and fully live their lives.

When we choose fearful or deprivation or limiting, negative thoughts (yes, we choose our thoughts), we then behave a certain way (fuelled by fear etc) and then experience the resulting negative emotions that keep us in that self-destructive vicious circle.

Once you understand that you can control your thoughts and direct them towards a vision of the future that you want, rather than let your fears dictate your future (and present). Then, you can literally change the way your body (and digestive system) behaves. This, in turn, will change the way you feel in the present moment – from fearful, hesitant, restrictive, negative, to fully energised, positive and excited.

The Power of Meditation

There are many ways to change the way we think and feel. No other method, I find, however,  is as effective and deep as what you can create through meditation.  I know some are ‘unable’ to meditate, mostly due to limiting beliefs about ‘I can’t sit still’, ‘I can’t stop my thoughts rambling on’ etc. But once you put your controlling mind to work in ordering your body to sit still and your mind to stop focusing on itself, miracles can and do happen.

So if you feel that your day-t0-day is controlled by negative thoughts and feelings that stem from past experiences (ie: “I always bloat when I eat xyz”, “gluten is bad for me” or “I won’t eat cheese because I can’t stop myself”). And if you feel that these thoughts are stopping you from living and enjoying your life fully, then we need to talk.

Your life and your future do not have to be limited by your own thoughts.
