Weight Issues
Weight issues
Should you decide to lose some weight, I will not ask you to go on a 'diet'. Not only do diets not work, but the expectation that you will gain the weight again after you've lost it, keeps the diet industry rich and thriving!
I won't ask you to starve yourself. Restrictive diets that only favour one type of food or take out whole food groups only contribute to great imbalances in your body and mind and will add stress and misery to your life.

I will never ask you to weigh yourself (unless you suffer from a serious food disorder which requires closer monitoring). Scales only contribute to your stress and pressure and will stop you from re-learning to enjoy food - real food.
'Real' food is always on the menu. Being French, I will never recommend that you eat a piece of carrot and a lettuce leaf for lunch! No-one can be healthy through starvation. Rather, I will ask you to nourish your body and mind with proper food, real butter and other beneficial fats, good quality proteins, lots of vegetables and fruits, and wholesome, filling carbohydrates.
I will of course assess whether your body finds certain foods more challenging than others, and I may ask you to cut these out of your daily meals. This is likely to be temporary however, and most will re-introduce these foods after a few weeks.
However unusual this may sound, I won't try and make you thin or bigger - I will make you healthier, full of energy and joy - and you will love food again for what it is - a joyful, nourishing, comforting tool towards health. The likelihood is that the pounds will either drop off or add up naturally to reach your 'natural' weight.
